The Manna Project is a social enterprise of Youth Strategies. TMP provides an opportunity for students to get hands-on experience as an entrepreneur, gardener, and marketer, while at the same time, teaching collaboration, community service, and life skills that will lead to success. TMP walks a student through every aspect of running a business from farm to table. Our goal is to teach students how to provide a superior customer experience as well as provide a tremendous value. TMP supports the advancement of community gardens and partners with other organizations to provide leadership to that end.
Youth Strategies’ social enterprises have a proven youth development track record. Our social enterprises have consistently led to greater classroom participation, increased graduation rates, reduction of at-risk behaviors, and increased employability. “Employability can be defined as a set of achievements – skills, understandings and personal attributes – that make graduates more likely to gain employment and be successful in their chosen occupations, which benefits themselves, the workforce, the community and the economy.” For more information please visit our web-site at www.YouthStrategies.org.
